Burscough Wharf Celebrations One year on from its grand opening, Burscough Wharf marks its first anniversaryr weekend of events, activities, celebrations and live art. The celebrations will begin on Friday evening, (17th February). On Saturday The Wharf will host Burscough’s first ever ‘Transport Festival’. Merseyside Transport Trust will bring two of the buses down to the Wharf for display in the courtyard. Adding to the festivities throughout the day will be live music performed by students of resident musician and music teacher Adam Christopher Music, whilst entertainment for the children will include Jesters, free children’s face painting and balloons. On Sunday The Wharf hosts its Winter Food & Drink Festival. Sunday’s traders include the Port of Lancaster Smokehouse, Chocolate Magic, Ormskirk Bee Keepers, County Cheeses, Sam’s Seafoods, Pendle Pat-a-Cakes, Choco Lori, Olliviccio, Farmers Wife Preserves, Belpasso Oil & Wine Co., Country Hog Roast and many more. Saturday’s activities run from 10am – 4.30pm Sunday 10am – 4pm.
